Ghana’s Black Starlets have been paired with Cote d’Ivoire and Benin in the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship which will be hosted in Accra from Wednesday, May 15 to Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
In the other group, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Togo, and Niger will compete.
The draw was held at the WAFU Zone B headquarters on Friday, April 19, 2024, and revealed the interesting matchups for the group stage.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
Teams will vie not only for the championship trophy but also for coveted spots in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations next year, with the host nation set to be announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The appointment of Coach Laryea Kingston as the Head Coach of Ghana’s U-17 signals the beginning of a new era for the Black Starlets.
Under his guidance, the team is set to face their first competitive challenge, marking a significant milestone in their journey.
