Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey returns to first team training

Leicester City defender, Daniel Amartey, has returned to first team training after a month out with a hamstring problem, according to Leicester City manager Claude Puel.

The 23 year old Ghana international picked up the injury in a Premier League game against Bournemouth last month, where he was substituted after just 20 minutes.

Amartey, after a slow start to the season under manager Claude Puel, has gradually grown into the plans of the manager, managing seven appearances for the side at the turn of the year before the injury.

“Amartey came back today in the training sessions, but it is not enough time to be available,” Puel said in a press conference on Wednesday.

Amartey joined Leicester in January 2016, and was part of the team that won the Premier League later that year.
