Fake Journalists Scandal: Dormaahene wants Pius Hadzide reinstated

Paramount Chief of Dormaa traditional area and the owner of Ghana Premier champions Aduana Stars Nana Agyemang Badu II has made a heartfelt plea to President Akufo Addo to reinstate suspended Deputy Sports minister Pius Hadzide.

Pius Hadzide, along with both the Board Chairman and the Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), was suspended following preliminary investigations into the visa racketeering scandal that rocked Ghana’s participation at the Commonwealth games in Gold Coast Australia earlier this year.

Nana Agyemang Badu II made this plea when Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah paid a courtesy call on him, after visiting Dormaa to cut sod for the Youth Resource Center in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The Dormaahene believes Hadzide is innocent and is being ridiculed unjustly, hence his request.

“We are always in a hurry to crucify people even before investigations are conducted. I want to urge my brother [Hadzide] to remain calm and know that we are all behind him.

“I have followed his work at the ministry and we are impressed. I also appeal to the CID to expedite action on the investigations and we know that the deputy minister will be cleared of any wrongdoing.

“I humbly appeal to the President to reinstate the hardworking Hadzide immediately the report of the investigation is submitted, because I know he will be cleared of any wrongdoing,” he said.
