Patrick Liewig is new WAFA Head Coach

WAFA SC have announced the signing of renowned French coach Patrick Liewig as Head Coach on a short term deal.

The former ASEC Mimosas Head Coach and technical director will take charge until the end of the season.

He replaces Dane Klavs Rasmussen who resigned from his post last month after a patchy run of form.

The club statement reads: ”WAFA SC has appointed Patrick Liewig as the head of the First Team. The former Asec Mimosas coach has signed a contract until the end of the season.”

Liewig won the Ivorian Ligue 1 title with ASEC Mimosas on three succession times between 2004 and 2006.

He also guided them to a semi final place in the 2006 CAF Champions League.
