#Number 12: Suspended NSA boss Sarfo Mensah took bribe to influence U-17 player selection

It has been revealed that suspended Director General of the National Sports Authority, Robert Sarfo Mensah, accepted bribe to influence player selection and give certain players more minutes at the FIFA U-17 World Cup held in India last year.

The evidence was revealed at the premiere of Number 12, the investigative video by journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas which sought to expose corruption in Ghana football.

Sarfo Mensah was suspended in April by President Akufo Addo in April following the visa scandal that rocked the country’s participation at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

In the video, Sarfo Mensah is captured receiving money and assuring the Tiger Eye PI team he would ensure the unnamed player is given playing time.

Ghana exited in the quarter final stage after losing 2-1 to Mali.

The latest scandal could spell the end for Sarfo Mensah has yet to be recalled to the NSA following his suspension.
