#Donkomi: Samuel Inkoom signs for Bulgarian side FC Dunav Ruse

Defender Samuel Inkoom has secured a deal with Bulgarian topflight side FC Dunav 2010 Ruse on a short-term basis.

The Ghana international recently regained freedom to play again after Fifa lifted its worldwide ban on him over a financial dispute with his former agent.

Inkoom, as Footy-Ghana.com earlier hinted, was being courted by clubs in France and Bulgaria and the right-back has settled on beginning his return in the latter.

The 29-year-old, Tuesday morning, signed a half-season deal with option to seal his return to the Bulgarian First League where he previously featured for rivals Vereya FC (during the 2016/17 season- his last club before the Fifa ban).

He becomes the second Ghanaian on the books of ‘The Dragons’ after former Tema Youth midfielder Derrick Mensah.

Inkoom’s new club, Dunav 2010 Ruse, are among four candidates fighting to avoid relegation from the Bulgarian First League. They currently lie 12th on the 14-team league table after 20 games.

The second round of the Bulgarian top league resumes Thursday, January 17 and Inkoom will be eying a debut in his favourite Number 2 shirt as Dunav 2010 visit Botev Vratsa at Stadion Hristo Botev.
