Lucy Quist resigns from Normalization Committee

She walks away after months of overseeing football reforms in Ghana

Vice President of the Normalization Committee Lucy Quist has announced her decision to step down from her position after eight months.

She did not indicate specifically what had provoked the decision, only stating that it was for personal reasons.

In her time on the committee she played an active role and sought to be a voice especially for the women’s wing of Ghana football.

It remains unclear what the former Airtel Chief Executive Officer’s next move will be after she recently launched her book “The Bold New Normal”.

She shared details on her resignation on her official Facebook page.

Her resignation comes a few days to the naming of the Black Stars squad for the 2019 Afcon in Egypt.

She becomes the second core member of the Normalization Committee to leave after Lawyer Duah Adonteng was also replaced by former Ghana defender Samuel Osei Kuffour.
