FIFA extends Normalisation Committee stay

The Normalisation Committee of the Ghana Football Association has been given an extension of its mandate by the world football governing body, FIFA.

The new development was announced by the GFA via its website on Tuesday morning.

The committee will now end its work on November 17, 2019.

The committee’s mandate came to an end on September 30 but following the announcement of the association’s election roadmap, its mandate was extended by FIFA to supervise the polls and all related matters.

So far, the committee has managed to work on the new statutes for the GFA and the elections remain the only major task left on its plate.

The committee was put together by FIFA to help reform Ghana football after the events of the Anas “Number 12” documentary on corruption in Ghana football.
