Ex-Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko manager, Charles Kwablan Akonnor has been appointed the new assistant coach of the senior national team, Black Stars.
The former Asante Kotoko manager replaces Ibrahim Tanko, head coach of the Black Meteors.
Also, Stephen Appiah and Richard Kingston will not be replaced as technical coordinator and goalkeepers trainer respectively.
C. K Akonnor joins the technical team to start preparations for Ghana’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe next month.
Ghana will host South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday 14th November 2019, before traveling to São Tomé and Príncipe to face them on Monday 18th November.
