Maxwell Konadu is new Kotoko head coach

Maxwell Konadu has been appointed the new head coach of Asante Kotoko. The appointment was confirmed on Monday after Konadu and the team held talks over personal terms and the conditions of service.

Konadu replaces Kjeti Zachariassen in the Kotoko hot seat after he and the team parted company last month.

Konadu signed a two-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors and he has been given the responsibility of winning the upcoming Ghana Premier League season which will give Kotoko a place in next season’s CAF Champions League qualifiers.

On his appointment, Konadu called for the support of the fans and stated his delight at coming back to a familar environment.

“I am back and I can say that I am very delighted with the development. I thank the management and the supporters for the confidence shown in me. I will do my best but will ask the supporters to exercise patience as we are trying to improve the team.”

Konadu returns to the club where he won the Ghana league in the 2011/ 2012 season before joining the Black Stars technical team set up.
