“It’s too early” – Maxwell Konadu plays down Kotoko’s title ambitions

Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu has dismissed any talk of Kotoko of winning the league title, saying it’s too early in the season to entertain any such thoughts.

Kotoko are joint top of the league with maximum 6 points from their 2 league games so far.

The record league champions are many pundits’ favorites to reclaim the title they last won in 2014 but Konadu, who led them to the title in 2012, says any talk of winning the title now is premature.

“It is early days yet, we don’t have to create the impression that two matches two wins so that’s the end. It’s a long league so we have to take one match at a time,” Konadu told reporters after Kotoko’s victory against Legon Cities.

Kotoko have won the Ghana Premier League a record 23 times but have not won the title since Mas-Ud Didi Dramani led them to glory six years.
