“We are going for the league title”- Medeama head coach Samuel Boadu

After just two league games, Medeama Sporting Club head coach, Samuel Boadu, has openly declared that his team will be gunning for the title this season.

The Tarkwa-based team have won their first two league matches of the season against Dwarfs away and Hearts of Oak and they have scored 6 goals and conceded once in the process.

Already, the Yellow and Mauves are part of the pick of pundits in terms of league winners and their head coach, Boadu, is giving a concrete backing to those perceptions by stating the team’s target for the season.

“We are definitely going for the league title this year. That is what we want to do but then we have to play well in the first four matches of the season.

We want to use those matches to get things right because we had some challenges in pre-season. We could not play a lot of matches except the one that we played with Sharks. Our home ground, the T and A Park was being worked on and so, that bothered us in terms of training.

If I look at how we have played and created chances in the first two matches, we will help ourselves if we keep going that way.”

After going past Dwarfs and Hearts, Medeama will face Liberty in Week 3 and Asante Kotoko in Week 4.
