‘Together, we’ll win’ – Dede Ayew sends heartfelt message to persons affected by Coronavirus spread

The captain of the Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew has sent out a heartwarming message to football fans around the world after the outbreak of Coronavirus put an abrupt halt to all sporting activities.

The Black Stars skipper advised people to adhere strictly to all preventive advice in order to stay healthy and help curb the spread of the pandemic.

“As the world takes the decisive steps to combat the spread of the deadly coronavirus which is wreaking havoc too families, communities and nations, I want to urge you all to continue to adhere strictly to all preventive advice to help stay healthy and also help curb the spread of the pandemic,” a portion of Ayew’s message read.

COVID-19, a global pandemic, has affected sporting activities across the globe, with many leagues shut down as a result.

Dede Ayew, who plays for the English Championship side, Swansea City, has had to stay at home due to the suspension of the league until at least April 30, 2020.

Ghana, like a number of other countries has suspended various sporting events a measure to help combat the spread of the Coronavirus.

The President, Nana Akufo-Addo, placed a ban on public gatherings in the country after the country recorded its first cases of the disease.

Ghana has so far recorded 16 cases of COVID-19 with no deaths.
