See ex-Black Stars player Anthony Baffoe participate in #StayHomeChallenge [VIDEO]

Former Black Stars defender, Anthony Baffoe has jumped on the #StayAtHomeChallenge as football leagues and major FIFA events have been suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Baffoe, 53 accepted the challenge thrown at him by 1988 African Footballer of the Year, Kalusha Bwalya who also joined the #StayAtHomeChallenge.

The T-Roll juggling challenge is an entertaining measure created on social media to help advocate for people to stay at home to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

With FIFA tournaments and all other FIFA related events suspended, some footballers, sporting athletes, and journalists have resolved to take up the challenge to remain active.

The former Black Stars defender before touching the T-Roll and juggling it first washed disinfected his hands with a sanitizer as a step to alert people on the need to use alcohol-based products to help curb the spread of Coronavirus.

After honouring the challenge, Anthony Baffoe threw the contest to Ghanaian duo, Michael Essien and Stephen Appiah, as well as Nigeria’s Jay Jay Okocha.

Worldwide, there is a total of 308,720 cases with 13, 071 deaths and 95, 834 recoveries on Sunday, March 22, 2020. Ghana as in the same period has recovered 24 cases and one death.

Background of Anthony Baffoe

Currently, Baffoe is the Deputy Secretary-General for Football and Development for (CAF), He previously served on FIFA and CAF Football Committees.

He was also involved in organizing CAF and FIFA sanctioned tournaments. In February 2006 he was named “Director for International Relations” for the Ghana national football team. He is the founder and General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana.

In that capacity is in close contact with the FIFPro Players’ association and works in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association.
