All state owned sporting facilities to be fumigated – Sports Minister

Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah has revealed plans to fumigate all state-owned sporting facilities amid the coronavirus pandemic.

With some selected non-contact sports set to resume after government eased restrictions, it has become necessary for a thorough cleanup of the various stadia.

Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday, to lay down the modalities of how the Ministry plans to ease back the return of the selected sporting activities, Asiamah stressed on the importance of the exercise.

“The NSA together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports has undertaken a nationwide fumigation of all stadia across the country, including offices, spectators’ sitting area, VIP Lounges among others have all been fumigated.”

State owned sporting facilities have been closed for almost three months, since the ban on all sporting activities was declared back in March.
