I can get my boots and training stuff easily with YEA support-Faustina Kyeremeh

Immigration Ladies striker Faustina Kyeremeh says the initiativee of the GFA and the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to pay Women’s Premier League (WPL) players 500 cedis as monthly allowance for the next six months will help her buy boots and training gear easily.

The Ghana Football Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Youth Employment Agency, has reached an agreement for YEA to pay WPL players 500 cedis a month to alleviate the effect of Covid-19 on WPL players.

The Black Queens striker expressed excitement over the initiative in an interview with the GFA communications department.

“I can get my training boots and training stuff easily. I don’t depend on anyone for survival. So, it will also relieve me of some burden and motivate us to do more.” She said.

Kyeremeh thanked the GFA and YEA for the wonderful innovation and also asked for more of such for women’s football.

“All I can say to the Youth Employment Agency and the GFA is that, just as Oliver Twist, we are asking for more and pray that greater ones come from them. God richly bless them.”
