Anthony Annan: 33 year old says he’s still available for Black Stars selection

Ghana midfielder, Anthony Annan, says he is still available for selections to the senior national team despite not playing for the country since the 2013 AFCON in South Africa.

Annan has made 67 appearances for the Black Stars since making his debut in 2007 against Brazil in an international friendly in Sweden.

Now 33, Annan currently plays for FC Inter Turku in the top tier league of Finland and feels he is still in a position to serve his country.

“I am available for selection if CK Akonnor [Black Stars coach) needs me. I’m still playing active football in Finland,” Annan told Akoma FM.

“Ghana is my country and I cannot turn my back on my country if my services are needed.

“I don’t know much about Akonnor but I know he was selected based on his competence and I believe with our support, he will surely deliver,” Annan concluded.
