Ali Jarra Predicts: Ghana will win the next AFCON

Former Ghana and Hearts of Oak Goalkeeper, Ali Jarra has predicted that Ghana will win the next AFCON if the right atmosphere is created for current head coach, C.K Akonnor to work without interference.

Ghana has not won the coveted continental title since 1982.

After a disappointing display by the Black Stars in the 2019 AFCON, The Ghana Football Association appointed C.K Akonnor to handle the affairs of the senior national team.

In an interview with Benjamin Nketsia on Citi Tv’s The Tracker, Jarra backed C.K Akonnor to lead the Black stars to win Ghana’s first AFCON trophy in over 35 years.

“I think CK needs support, the materials are already available.

“Through prayers and doing the right thing, I think Ghana will bring that Jinx,” Jarrah stated.

“C.K was appointed because the Ghana football Association trust and believe in him, so nobody should pressurize him or tell him what to do,” he continued.

“He should be allowed to make his own mistakes and learn from them.”

“They should play for C.K and not the nation.

“I think that we are going to win the next AFCON because we already have everything.”
