Man City’s De Bruyne named best playmaker as he equals assists record, Ederson gets Golden Glove

They might have lost the title quite emphatically to Liverpool but Man City’s Premier League season wasn’t a complete loss.

Aside from finishing second in the division, Man City scored 102 goals in the just-ended campaign.

They picked up some individual awards as well.

Keeper, Ederson kept 16 cleansheets this season after his shutout against Norwich, earning him the Golden Glove.

He finished with one cleansheet more than Burnley shotstopper, Nick Pope, who conceded against Brighton on Sunday.

It almost went wrong when Norwich thought they had taken the lead in the first half but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, has been outstanding for City this season.

He contributed 20 assists in the league (although he insists it was more), earning him the award for the best playmaker in the league.

His tally equals the record by Thierry Henry for the most assists in a league season.

The playmaker award was won by former Chelsea player, Eden Hazard last season.
