Donkomi: Rio Ferdinand urges Man United to sign Thomas Partey

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has urged the club to sign Ghana and Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.

Partey, 27, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Rojiblancos with Premier League side Arsenal reportedly seeing a €25 million plus Mateo Guendouzi offer for midfielder rejected.

Man United were previous linked with Partey who has 3 years to run in his current deal with Madrid-based club.

Asked which players he would sign for Man United this summer, Ferdinand listed Ghana International along with Jason Sancho as players he would love to see at Old Trafford.

“I’ll definitely buy Sancho. Maybe Partey from Atletico Madrid or Ndidi.

“I like Saul Niguez. Ben Godfrey if you’re going for a young centre back or go for someone like Koulibaly,” he told The Beautiful Game podcast.
