Black Stars: Reuben Ayarna tips head coach C.K Akonnor for success

Swedish based Ghanaian midfielder, Reuben Ayarna believes Black Stars head coach, C.K Akonnor will succeed if given the freedom to implement his ideas.

Akonnor is yet to lead the national team to a competitive fixture since taking over as head coach but has indicated his intentions to play the expansive free flowing football that Ghanaians desire.

And Ayarna believes Akonnor requires the needed support to impact the team with his philosophy.

“I hope that they will be able to buy into whatever he is trying to do,” Ayarna said in an interview on Citi TV’s the Tracker.

“I don’t know what direction C.K is going to take, is he going to rebuild, or is he going to maintain the key guys and try to win something.

“Whatever direction he wants to take, he should be allowed to do what he wants to do,” he concluded.

C.K Akonnor was appointed head coach of the senior national team in January 2020 to replace country man Kwesi Appiah whose contract expired at the end of 2019.
