#Donkomi: Southampton complete signing of Mohammed Salisu

English Premier League side Southampton have completed a deal to sign Ghanaian defender, Mohammed Salisu from Real Valladolid for £10.9m.

Salisu is Southampton’s first signing of the transfer window and has agreed a four-year deal to move to St.Mary’s after his buyout clause was triggered by the club.

Though the deal is complete, the Ghanaian will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine period once he arrives in the UK from Spain due to coronavirus control measures, according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year old has been an important part of Valladolid’s defence and helped them to finish the season above the relegation zone, in 16th place.

Salisu started 30 of Valladolid’s 38 La Liga matches in the just-ended season.
