GFA to announce technical director soon – Henry Asante Twum

The Ghana Football Association says an announcement will be made in the coming days on who has been given the mandate as technical director of the Federation.

The process started over three months ago with over a hundred applications being shortlisted to six by a committee setup by the FA.

According to the Communications Director for the GFA, Henry Asante Twum, the need to conduct a thorough job has slowed the process.

“The process for selecting a technical director is over.

“The team that conducted the interview and went through the various processes, are yet to submit their recommendations and report to the executive council, he said in an interview with Citi Sports.

“For which reason a decision will be made as regards the appointment of a new technical director.”

“I will call on the general public to give us a few more days to settle on this particular candidate for the job, he concluded.”

The role of Technical Director has been left vacant since Francis Oti Akenteng’s long-term appointment with the GFA was terminated in March.
