‘Rastaman Throw One Stone’: Relive LEGENDARY commentary after Sarpong’s horrific penalty miss [VIDEO]

With the Tokyo Olympics in sight, Ghana needed a win in order to book the third slot to represent the continent.

However, the Black Meteors of Ghana blew it once again, losing 6-5 on penalties to South Africa after playing out a 2-2 game in regular time.

Ghana’s U-23 team was perfect in the shootouts until Kingsley Fobi missed from the spot with the South Africans converting their remaining kicks to take it into sudden death.

Kwame Baah saved the penalty of South Africa’s Katlego Mohamme, giving Edward Sarpong the perfect chance to take Ghana to the Tokyo Olympics.

However, his effort probably hit an actual meteorite located between Mars and Jupiter as he fired the ball well over the bar.

The wild shot birthed the commentary line; “Awurade Nyankopong Jesus, akwa yi y3 jon”, which translates “Jesus Jesus Jesus, this player is silly”.

The commentary although funny was a depiction of a nationalistic show of pain and support.

Emmanuel Cudjoe would finally miss the final spot-kick to give South Africa the ticket to the Olympic Games to be hosted in Tokyo, Japan.
