Asante Kotoko: Moses Antwi Benefo confirmed Communications Director, other key appointments made

Renowned sports journalist, Moses Antwi Benefo has been appointed new Asante Kotoko Communications Manager.

The media expert is to help management and board of the club achieve the mandate of the Manhyia Palace in the next three years.

Antwi Benefo has been working on several media platforms in Ghana.

He had great stints with Accra-based Asempa FM, Hot FM and Happy FM as Sports Editor and host.

From Accra, the Master of Journalism and Mass Communication holder then joined Metro FM in Kumasi.

Antwi Benefo recently left his job as Head of Media and Public Relations at Ghana National Petroleum Corporation Foundation (GNPC) for a role at Nhyira FM which would allow him to combine with that of Asante Kotoko.

Meanwhile, Thomas Sevordzi has been appointed as the club’s Finance Manager.

The appointment is part of the club’s list of newly-formed management team that will work under Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Sevordzi held the CEO position at Vasco Consult Limited and also a Business Consultant to Pro Vita Specialist Hospital.

Before these portfolios,  the finance expert was also the Manager for Investment Banking at Strategic Hedge Capital for 2014-15.

Sevordzi has been a chartered accountant since 2013 and is currently a member of the Global Advisory Board of Wells Mountain Initiative, USA.

Elsewhere,  Eric Amoako-Twum has been appointed as the club’s new Commercial Manager.

The highly-experienced corporate affairs expert will add up to the newly-appointed management team headed by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Twum who is a member of the Communications team of the ruling New Patriotic Party has vast experience in his new portfolio at Kotoko.

He competed for the Member of Parliament (MP) seat for Fanteakwa South Constituency and lost to Kofi Okyere Agyekum, the incumbent MP.

The politician has worked with several top companies including Millicom Ghana Limited in 2010 and Nestle Ghana Limited in 2013.
