VIDEO: See how work is progressing on Baba Yara Stadium renovation

Renovation works at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi are progressing steadily after initial delays on the project due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The stadium has been closed since March this year for renovation but it was not until October that works starting to move forward on the project.

Exclusive video footage from Citi Sports shows the old grass on the pitch being taken off, while majority of the seats on the 40,000 capacity edifice have also been removed in preparation for new ones to be fixed.

The Stadium, home grounds for Ghana Premier League teams Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, has also been widely used for Black Stars home matches.

Work is expected to be completed by middle of 2021.
