CAF President Ahmad tests positive for covid – 19

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced its President Ahmad Ahmad has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

The administration revealed that the Madagascan arrived in Egypt with mild flu symptoms, before getting advice to test for Covid-19. The update added that Ahmad’s results came back positive and will immediately enter self-isolation for 14 days.

This comes after he attended the final of the CAF Confederation Cup in Morocco on Sunday.

Ahmad has travelled little during the coronavirus pandemic, but returned to Cairo before travelling to Morocco to supervise the final of Africa’s second tier competition.
