Ghana vs Sudan: “We’ve not had the best preparations” – Andre Ayew

Black Stars Captain, Andre Dede Ayew says the team has not had ideal preparations ahead of the AFCON qualifier against Sudan but is confident that the team can grab all three points.

The team began training on Monday without the full complement of the team, some of whom later joined the squad in Cape Coast on Wednesday.

On the other hand, their opponents Sudan, have had adequate preparations for the match as most of their players, who are home-based, have been together for some time.

Ayew says the team is eager to get a good result from the game against the North-African side, despite the lack of adequate preparations.

“It’s not been the best preparation because we didn’t have the full squad early for the Coach to do whatever he wanted to do from the start.

“But now the squad is here, we trained well, we are fit, hopefully there are no injuries and we will be ready to go.

“We are at home and when we are at home, there is only one thing on our mind and that is to get the three points so we are going to do everything possible to make that happen.”

Ghana take on Sudan on Thursday at the Cape Coast Stadium at 16:00 GMT and will travel to Khartoum on Tuesday November 17 for the reverse fixture.
