Veteran Ghanaian coach, Bashir Hayford, has been appointed head coach of Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities, the club has announced.
Hayford, 64, takes charge until the end of the 2020/2021 season.
The former Ashantigold and Asante Kotoko trainer replaces Bosnian Goran Barjaktarevic, who was fired late Tuesday night following an underwhelming start to the season where he drew one and lost heavily to Great Olympics.

Hayford was last in charge of the Somalia National Football team from March 2019 to February 2020, and cited civil unrest in the country as the reason he quit his job.
He led Asante Kotoko to a League title in 2008 before leading regional rivals Ashantigold to a first crown in 19 years in 2015.
His last coaching job in the Ghana Premier League was with Ebusua Dwarfs in 2017, a job he quit to go take charge of Ghana’s women’s national team for the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
