10-man South Korea see off Black Meteors 3-1 [VIDEO]

South Korea’s Olympic team brushed aside the Black Meteors of Ghana in a friendly game, beating them 3-1.

Continuing their Asian tour, the Black Meteors played South Korea in the early hours of Saturday, June 12, 2021 after two humiliating defeats at the hands of Japan.

An early headed goal by Lee Sang-Min started the dominance of the Asian giants as they took the Black Meteors through a torrid time.

However, Kim Jin-Ya was shown a straight following a VAR decision for a dangerous tackle just five minutes before the break.

Despite lacking a man, the Koreans showed more aggression and tenacity and were rewarded for their efforts as Lee Seung-Mo and Gue-Sung Cho put the game beyond Ghana with two quick goals.

Samuel Obeng pulled one back for Ghana but it was too little, too late.

Paa Kwesi Fabin’s charges will have another chance at redemption when they face the South Koreans again on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
