Hearts of Oak to enter partnership with two unnamed foreign clubs

The Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV, has teased the creation of the Common Value Club Alliance featuring one club from Europe and one club from America.

According to him, the Phobians are in discussion with one club from Europe and another from the USA to form a triangular partnership that will mutually benefit the three clubs.

He was speaking at the 110th anniversary and unveiling of Hearts of Oak’s new jerseys for the 2021/2022 season.

“This is a unique alliance that features clubs from three different continents,” he said.

Togbe Afede explained to those in attendance that the partnership would be raise the technical, educational and community involvement of the club.

“We will be exchanging knowledge and expertise in coaching, scouting and of course playing. It will involve experts from Hearts of Oak travelling to Europe and America and experts from those continents coming to Accra “

Concerning education, Togbe Afede stressed the need for the Hearts Academy to produce complete footballers. He said the partnership would allow Hearts youth players to study abroad which would  set them up for a life after football.

Lastly, he stressed that Hearts of Oak was more than a football club. As an important part of the history of Accra he expected the club to take a stronger role in improving the community.
