2022 WCQ: Black Stars to engage Division Two side Soccer Intellectuals in test match

The Black Stars of Ghana will play a test game against Division Two side, Soccer Intellectuals ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The game will help Milovan Rajevac have a better perspective of the players he has called up for the game crucial double-header against The Warriors of Zimbabwe.

Head Coach Milovan Rajevac led his first training session behind closed doors on Tuesday evening.

Twenty-five players are currently in camp preparing for the match but the team is without Columbus Crew captain Jonathan Mensah, who will join the team on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, while the GFA continue to assess Andrew Yiadom’s situation at Reading FC.

The Stars have one win and a defeat in the first 2 matches since the qualifiers began, and will hope to overpower their opponents in Cape Coast and then in Harare three days later.

The friendly is scheduled for the Cape Coast Stadium at 4pm on Wednesday, October 6.
