“Jordan Ayew’s goal drought will end tomorrow “- Milovan Rajevac [VIDEO]

Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Milovan Rajevac says he expects Jordan Ayew’s goal drought to end on Saturday when Ghana play Zimbabwe in the third group game of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Ghanaian striker has 1 goal and 2 assists in his last 43 games for Crystal Palace and has also not found the back of the net for Ghana since scoring against Sao Tome and Principe in March 2021.

Addressing the media ahead of Ghana’s crucial game against Zimbabwe, the Serbian trainer says he is hopeful Jordan Ayew will find the back of the net once again for club and country.

“This problem is common among goal scorers. Sometimes, they have problems finding the back of the net and it is a difficult period for strikers in these time. However, we are here to support him, it is important for him to have our support.

“He knows this is a team game and it is important he contributes by scoring goals or providing assists but we hope his goal drought will end tomorrow,” he said.

The Black Stars will face The Warriors of Zimbabwe on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Cape Coast Stadium 4pm.
