Richard ‘Olele’ Kingson scouted Jojo Wollacott – Rajevac

Black Stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac has revealed that goalkeeper’s trainer, Richard Kingson scouted new goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott.

Wollacot was invited for Ghana’s two games against Zimbabwe and was selected to begin both games much to the surprise of many Ghanaians.

However, his performances silenced the critics who believed he did not deserve to start because he plays for Swindon Town, a club in the English 4th tier.

Rajevac says he was impressed with the performances put in by his new goalkeeper.

“It was the work of Richard Kingson because he did the scouting work and he suggested this goalkeeper to me.” He said through his interpreter, Nenad Glisic.

“I watched many videos of him and the decision was made to include him in the squad and when he came, he proved himself and got the chance which he used very well.”

The 25 year old is expected to be included in the squad for Ghana’s crucial last two games against Ethiopia and South Africa in November.

Ghana must win those two crucial games to progress to the knock-out round of the African Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
