GPL: “I don’t fear the sack” – under-fire Samuel Boadu tells reporters

Hearts of Oak coach, Samuel Boadu says his future at the club is up to the board of Directors headed by Togbe Afede XIV.

The Phobians have failed to win in their first four matches of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League and pressure is mounting on the gaffer to produce results as soon as possible.

The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League winner spoke after his side’s 2-0 defeat to AshantiGold Sunday afternoon.

He told reporters: “I don’t fear the sack.”

“Coaches are hired to be fired so if the management thinks there should be a change in technical direction, so be it.”

Now Hearts of Oak will need to get over their loss in Obuasi when they play Berekum Chelsea in their next league game.

Hearts will also play JS Saoura in the Caf Confederation Cup and the club after suffering elimination from the Caf Champions League.

Boadu after Chelsea, will play against his former club Medeama on match-day six and then the big clash against Asante Kotoko on match-day seven follows.

Tough times and huge matches coming up for the gaffer!
