GPL: Kofi Kordzi scores brace in Hearts of Oak’s 2-0 win over Berekum Chelsea

Kofi Kordzi scored a brace as Accra Hearts of Oak defeated Berekum Chelsea 2-0 at Cape Coast on Wednesday afternoon in a rescheduled Ghana Premier League game.

The initial clash was postponed due to Hearts of Oak’s CAF club competition engagements.

The Phobians started the game just as they wanted to end it, taking control of the game right from the get-go.

After a series of intricate passes, Kofi Kordzi connected an incisive cut-back from William Dankyi to break the deadlock on the 19^th-minute of the game.

The 26-year-old, after the break, made it two after perfectly heading home his second of the afternoon to ensure Hearts of Oak grabbed all three points.

Samuel Boadu’s men are now 9^th on the league table with 13 points with two games in hand while Berekum Chelsea dropped to 12^th on the league table.
