AFCON 2021: ‘Ghana should have called me’ – Kevin Prince Boateng reacts to Morocco loss

Following Ghana’s 1-0 defeat to Morocco at the ongoing AFCON 2021 tournament in Cameroon, former Black Stars midfielder, Kevin Prince Boateng, says he should have been given the opportunity to play for the team.

Ghana were left disappointed after they begun their campaign with a loss at the hands of the North-African side on Monday evening via a late goal from Sofiane Boufal in the 83rd minute.

The 34-year Hertha Berlin midfielder has not played for the Black Stars since his misunderstanding with then head coach Kwesi Appiah during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Reacting to the defeat, Kevin Prince Boateng tweeted:

🇬🇭 Ghana 🙈🙈 #shouldhavejustcalledme next game 3 points let’s go black ⭐

— Prince Boateng (@KPBofficial) January 10, 2022

He however wished the team well in the next games against Gabon and Comoros.

Ghana face Gabon on Friday, January 14 at the Ahmadou Ahidou stadium.
