Betway AFCON diaries: Group B matchday 3 preview

Malawi, who go into the final round of the group game with three points, will hope to cause a huge upset as they battle Senegal at the Kouekong stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Senegal are currently second-best in Group B with 4 points and qualification to the next round is not yet secured. The Teranga Lions will hope to take away all doubts with a convincing victory.

Elsewhere, Guinea will aim to maintain their grip on the top of the table as they battle bottom side Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe have failed to earn a single point in two games and will have nothing to lose as they lock horns with one of the group’s favourites.

Senegal and Guinea to register victories

Mane and co have the requisite quality to cause any damage to opposition despite a relatively unconvincing start to the campaign.

The strength of Senegal will prove to be too much to handle for Malawi who have fought well so far in the competition.

Guinea will also be expected to get a positive result as they have been pitted against the weakest side in the group.

Naby Keita and Moriba will likely be in the spotlight thanks to their statuses in the team.

The odds

Senegal are huge favorites against Malawi according to Betway, with their odds priced at 1.37. Malawi’s odds are currently pinned at 9.40. A draw has been priced at 4.30.

Guinea are also favored to clinch all three points, with their odds priced at 1.56 whilst that of Zimbabwe stands at 6.80. A draw has been pinned at 3.55.
