CLASS: Nigeria’s Balogun congratulated Ghana players despite losing World Cup spot [VIDEO]

Despite suffering the heartbreak of missing out on a place at the 2022 World Cup to Ghana, Nigerian defender, Leon Balogun still took time to congratulate the Black Stars players and technical staff in their dressing room after the final whistle.

Balogun was impressive for the Super Eagles across both legs of the tie but it was not enough as Ghana’s 1-1 draw in Abuja took the Black Stars through on away goals.

While most competitors would shy away from their victorious opponents’ celebratory dressing room, Balogun showed class by going in and shaking the hands of each of the staff and players present.

It was an unexpected but impressive gesture from the Rangers defender, which the Ghanaian contingent acknowledged.

Take a look at the video below:

The scene vastly contrasted what had taken place on the pitch where furious Nigeria fans stormed the pitch, forcing the Ghanaian players and fans to flee.
