2022 WC: French Ambassador congratulates Black Stars for qualification

The French Ambassador to Ghana, Anne-Sophie Avé has extended her congratulatory message to the Black Stars of Ghana for qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in Qatar.

The Black Stars of Ghana secured one of the continent’s five available slots at the 2022 World Cup by edging Nigeria in a 1-1 aggregate scoreline over two legs.

Speaking as a guest speaker at the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace held at Decathlon’s head office in Kawukudi, the Ambassador stated it is her wish Ghana could go all the way in the tournament and win it for the first time.

“Congratulations to the Black Stars for qualifying to the Qatar World Cup, I wish them all the best and wish I hope they go all the way to the finals and even win it. You know my country, France has won it twice, and I’m not even bragging, so we can say we are okay, but I wish Ghana the very best.”

Ghana is in Group H for the tournament and will face Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
