Jordan Ayew presents framed jersey to President Akufo-Addo in London

Crystal Palace and Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew, has presented a framed jersey to President Akufo-Addo, who is London.

The Crystal Palace forward’s gesture came just hours after he scored his second goal of the season for the Eagles in their 3-0 win over Arsenal in the Premier League on Monday night, in front of President Akufo-Addo, who watched the game from the stands.

The 31-year-old had a conversation with the country’s Commander-in-Chief before presenting him with his jersey.

They spoke about the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where Ghana have been drawn alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

Jordan Ayew played a key role as Ghana returned to the World Cup after urging Nigeria in the playoff last week.

Nana Akufo-Addo met the Black Stars team in Accra before his trip to the United Kingdom last week, but could avoid the striker as he touched down in London.

Jordan Ayew and his Black Stars teammates will start their World Cup campaign with an opening game against Portugal, before playing South Korea and Uruguay.
