“The Black Star: Autobiography of C.K Gyamfi” launched

“The Black Star: Autobiography of C.K Gyamfi” was launched to much fanfare on Thursday, 19th May 2022.

The autobiography of one of Ghana’s greatest sporting heroes was written with the assistance of Fiifi Anaman.

Gyamfi was described by Nana Gyan Apenteng as a footballer without peer.

He had the scoring instincts of Asamoah Gyan, and Tony Yeboah, the football sense of Stephen Appiah, the tenacity of Michael Essien, the inventiveness of Abedi Pele, and the determination of Sulley Muntari

Various speakers spoke of him as a man without ego who would never blow his own trumpet.

“He was complex and simple all at the same time”

The chairman on the day, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe stressed the importance of such books in bridging the generational gap as the youth were not aware of the talents of their forefathers

It is unfortunate the archives are not there so the young ones can see they were better than footballers than them

The book is in bookstores everywhere and is published by Digi Books.
