AFCON 2023Q: Otto Addo makes 7 changes in starting XI to face Central African Republic

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has made seven changes to the team that will play the Central African Republic in Ghana’s second group game of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers in Angola.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi replaces Jojo Wollacott in the post while Osman Bukari is rewarded with a starting place after netting his first Black Stars goal against Madagascar on Wednesday.

Gideon Mensah who started as left centre-back against Madagascar goes to his natural left-back role with Andy Yiadom replacing Denis Odoi.

There is no room for the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan with Joseph Paintsil getting the nod up front with Felix Afena-Gyan featuring as the centre-forward.

In the absence of Andre Ayew and the injured Thomas Partey, Daniel Amartey will lead the Black Stars as they face Central African Republic in Angola.

Edmund Addo replaces Baba Iddrisu in the heart of the midfield as well as Jonathan Mensah makes a return to the Black Stars squad.

Game is scheduled for 1pm.
