Freiburg have reached an agreement in principle with St. Pauli attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, according to Kicker.

Kyereh was instrumental for St. Pauli last season, scoring 12 and creating 10 in 29 2. Bundesliga appearances.

Kofi Kyereh left the Black Stars camp after the AFCON qualifier against Central African Republic, as he seeks to finalize a move away from St. Pauli.

With the midfielder left with just one-year remaining on his deal at St. Pauli, the Hamburg based club is looking to cash in on him, in order not to risk losing him on a free transfer in 2023.

Freiburg is facing stiff competition for Kyereh’s services, with Stuttgart, Mainz and newly-promoted Werder Bremen all said to be strongly interested in the player.
