Djiku’s move to Hoffenheim OFF after disagreement over agent’s fee

Black Stars defender, Alexander Djiku’s proposed move to German Bundesliga side, Hoffenheim, is off after complications over ‘agent’s fee’.

Djiku had his medical with Hoffenheim on Wednesday, after a €6 million fee was agreed between his side Strasbourg and the German side.

However, Hoffenheim pulled the plugs on the deal after Djiku’s agent, who happens to be his brother, asked for an increase in commission at the last minute.

Strasbourg is reportedly open to selling the 27 year old, who has just a year left on his contract.

Djiku has been the subject of interest from clubs around Europe this window, including Sevilla and Rennes, after an impressive season that saw him appear 31 times in the league as Strasbourg finished 6th in Ligue 1.
