Two players from the all-conquering 2020/21 Hasaacas Ladies squad have made the final shortlist for the Women’s Young Player of the Year ahead of tonight’s CAF awards.

Evelyn Badu, who was named the Player of the Tournament during the 2021 CAF Women’s Champions League and also won the Golden Boot joins teammate Doris Boaduwaa and Moroccan Yasmine Zouhir on the final shortlist.

Badu has since earned a move to Norwegian club, Avaldsnes IL but was undoubtedly one of the hottest young prospects on the continent at Hasaacas.

Doris Boaduwaa remains a key player with Hasaacas, helping the side finish as runners-up in the Women’s Premier League and also reach the FA Cup final.

Badu was also nominated for the Interclub Player of the Year, along with Andile Dlamini and Bambananie Mbanie both of whom helped Mamelodi Sundowns to the inaugural Champions League title.

The awards gala takes place tonight, Thursday, 21st July, 2022 in Rabat, Morocco, at 19:00 GMT.
