Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil is up and running for the season as he helped himself to a brace in Genk’s matchday three victory over Eupen in the Jupiler Pro League.
The pacy forward started the game aggressively and was rewarded for his efforts in the third minute of the game with a goal.
He continued to look dangerous and added a second goal in the tenth minute in a game KRC Genk went on to win 4 – 2.
Unlike last season where his minutes for Genk were sketchy, he has already racked up two hundred and six minutes of football this season in three appearances.
Also present in the game was Black Stars backup goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen who was withdrawn after the first half.
It remains unclear if it was a tactical decision or due to an injury.
