Youth and Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif believes the Black Stars of Ghana will emerge victors of the 2022 edition of the World Cup.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the fourth time Ghana will be representing the continent at the global showpiece which will be held in Qatar this time.
The Black Stars stunned the world when they went all the way to the quarter-finals of the 2010 edition only to narrowly miss out on a place in the semis after losing on penalties.
Speaking at the press conference following the arrival of the World Cup trophy for a two-day tour in Ghana, the Sports Minister expressed his confidence in Ghana winning the tournament later this year.
“As football powerhouse in Africa, I know the Black Stars will bring the World Cup trophy back to Ghana by winning it Qatar”- Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif.
Ghana have been put in Group H for the mundial to be hosted in Qatar from November to December.
The team will play Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
