Veteran Ghanaian midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso made his return from suspension in KAS Eupen’s league loss in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

Eupen lost 4-0 to Gent in the latest round of league games, with Wakaso playing out the entire duration of the contest on his return.

Wakaso missed Eupen’s last game, a 1-0 win over STVV, after getting sent off in a game against Union Saint-Gilloise. Wakaso got booked twice against Union.

However, his return wasn’t enough to help Eupen to register its second league win in a row; Eupen is currently ranked 16th in the 18-team league standings.

32-year-old Wakaso joined Eupen late this offseason on loan from Chinese side Shenzhen Football Club and has played out the entire duration of all three games in which he has been available for selection.
