CAFCC: We need to be positive ahead of 2nd leg against Real Bamako – Hearts of Oak PRO

Bamako (Black and White) v Hearts

Accra Hearts of Oak Director of Communications Kwame Opare Addo is urging fans of the Rainbow Club to stay positive ahead of the team’s crucial tie on Sunday.

Hearts play Malian side Real Bamako in the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup game on Sunday, October 16 at 15:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts head into the weekend fixture on the back of a 0-3 loss in the first leg that was played at the Stade Modibo Keita Stadium in Mali.

Despite the huge odds stacked against Hearts to qualify to the next round of African club football’s second tier competition, Opare Addo has called on the club and its supporters to stay “positive” in an interview with Ghanaian Times.

“Qualification should be the main focus of every Hearts of Oak supporter and not neglect the team at such a time. This is not the time to play the blame game. What we need from today is to put the pieces together and get things right and positive on Sunday” he said.

Hearts won the Confederations Cup in 2004 at the expense of arch Ghanaian rival Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
